What personal data we collect and why
Comments
If a visitor leaves a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user-agent data of the browser to determine spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (“hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After the comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Media files
If you are a registered user and upload photos to the site, you may want to avoid uploading images with EXIF metadata, as they may contain your GPS location data. Visitors can extract this information by downloading images from the site.

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you comment again. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment itself and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is done to recognize and approve subsequent comments automatically, instead of placing them in a moderation queue.
